24 years as President/CEO of LRA Stoneworks, a construction industry manufacturing company specializing in architectural and decorative stone products and services.  Launched 3 startup manufacturing operations, achieving industry reputation for reliable production and delivery of high quality products and services. 


International experience at MAN, AG as Manager - Contract Administration and Market Research, managing government contracts, foreign/domestic engineering liaison operations, prototype development and testing, legal and government affairs and market analysis. 


15 years General Motors Corp., Senior Systems Analyst, Engineering - General Motors Corp., Truck & Coach Division with substantial experience in Materials Management, Production Control, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.


Accomplishments   At LRA, directed design and implementation of integrated information systems, linking multiple operations, providing management with real-time information for operations and oversight, reducing need for additional non-productive staff.  Led industry-wide changes in product introduction, configuration, and use of new technologies. 


At Woodland Park Academy, provided direction and oversight for design and construction of K-8 public school facility, built on-time and under budget.  Conducted first strategic planning program, educating staff about the importance, development and periodic evaluation of their strategic planning document.  


As registered lobbyist for MAN, AG, initiated action and assisted passage or defeat of various federal legislation.  Eliminated nuisance product liability claims affecting new product introduction.  Implemented procedures that reduced volume and cost of running engineering changes assuring company ability to meet delivery deadlines.  Assisted start-up operations of new production facility Cleveland, NC 1981.


At GM, developed instructional program and led team-based Value Analysis / Value Engineering projects to value-oriented product improvements accompanied by substantial cost and weight reductions.  Monitored world-wide automotive merger / acquisition activities.  Product-planning analyst advising staff about all aspects of transit bus operations and markets.  Key role averting establishment of salaried-employee union at GM divisions, assuming effective leadership under heavy UAW and senior management pressures.


Conducted accurate, in-depth study of the U.S. transit industry assisting major U.S. municipalities, transit equipment suppliers, Urban Mass Transit Administration and American Public Transportation Association.
